| Method of Lodgement | Applications for extension of stay could be lodged at any Immigration office.
Applications for work permit should be lodged at the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour.
Business persons who meet certain criteria, i.e. being employed by business entities which have paid registered capital or total asset of at least Baht 30 million, may lodge their applications for the extension of stay permit and the work permit at the exclusive One Stop Service Center for Visa and Work Permit.

| Processing Time | Normal processing time for application for the extension of stay permit is 30 days upon receipt of all
required documents.
Normal processing time for application for the work permit is 3-7 working days upon receipt of all required documents.
The processing time for applications for the extension of stay permit and work permit at the One Stop Service Center for Visa and Work Permit is 3 hours maximum. |
| Length of Validity and Stay | All Non-Immigrant Visa holders would be granted an initial 90-day stay upon arrival to the Kingdom.
Following successful processing, such persons shall be granted an extension of stay permit of 1 year
maximum each time.
Investors who meet the criteria under the Investment Promotion Act may be granted an extension of
stay permit for a period longer than 1 year.
The validity of the work permit is granted according to the validity of stay permit. |
| Application Fee | Baht 450-3,000 for work permit issuance or renewal.

| Rules Relating to Accompanying Dependants | Accompanying dependents may apply for Non-Immigrant Visa Category “O” at the Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates. The validity of their stay permit is granted according to the validity of the principal’s permit.
If the accompanying dependents wish to work, they must apply for their own work permit. |
| Review/Appeal Procedures | Applicants who have been refused the extension of stay permit or the work permit are eligible to lodge an appeal at the relevant authority offices. |
