| Business Visa Requirements | General Chilean immigration provisions do not establish a specific type of visa for business visitor neither a definition of one.
In general terms business visitor may enter into Chile as a tourist. In some cases, based on reciprocity, a tourist visa is required.
Nationals of the following APEC member economies require a short- term visa (tourist visa) in order to enter Chile:
Brunei Darussalam People’s Republic of China Papua New Guinea Republic of Philippines Russian Federation Chinese Taipei Viet Nam
In case that a tourist visa is required, business persons do not have to fulfil any other requirements. However, they could be asked on arrival to prove economic solvency whilst they remain in Chile.
A tourist visa allows its holder to undertake business-related activities without the need of a working authorisation (work permit). |
| APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) | If the business person holds the APEC Business Travel Card, he/she does not need to seek a tourist visa. |

- Documentation to prove the activities that will be undertake in Chile, without propose of immigration, residency or develop remunerated activities.
- Evidence of membership in a Chamber of Commerce
- Proof of financial banking
- Immigration authorities may require additionaldocuments upon request and a case by case basis.

| Method of Lodgement | The applicant is required to apply in person for a tourist visa in the Chilean Consulates overseas. Formal interviews may be required. |

| Multiple Entry Visas | Chile issues multiple entry tourist visa only upon request from the applicant and for a maximum period of 6 months. |
| Validity/Extension | The usual length of validity of visa granted to a business person is up to 90 days, renewable for a single period of 90 days.
Extension may be requested only through Chileann immigration authorities inside the country. The cost of extension is US$100. |

*Citizens of these countries have to pay an administrative charge of US$10 with the application of the visa (RESPAINT).
(1)Australian citizens have to pay an administrative charge of US$61 at the entry point. This charge is paid once during passport’s life. (2)Canadian citizens have to pay an administrative charge of US$132 at the entry point. This charge is paid once during passport’s life. (3)If the applicant is a British national, the visa requirement is waived. (4)Mexican citizens have to pay an administrative charge of US$23 at the entry point. This charge is paid once during passport’s life. (5)US citizens have to pay an administrative charge of US$131 at the entry point. This charge is paid once during passport’s life. (6)In accordance with Chilean immigration law dependants are the spouse, parents and children of both or any of them, provided they are dependent household members of the visa holder. They could not undertake remunerated activities in Chile.

| Regulations relating to accompanying dependants | Dependant family members (6) are allowed to accompany business person. If they are citizens of an economy that requires visa, they must apply for one. |
